To be eligible to run for Senator, a person must be:
- A natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
- A registered voter;
- Able to read and write;
- At least 35 years old on election day; and a
- Resident of the Philippines for at least 2 years immediately preceding election day.
To be eligibile to run for Member of the House of Representatives, a person must be
- A natural born citizen of the Philippines
- A registered voter
- Able to read and write
- At least 25 years old on election day
- Resident of the district where he intends to be elected for at least 1 year immediately preceding election day.
To be eligibile to run for Governor, Vice-Governor, Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Mayor, Vice-Mayor, or Member of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, a person must be
- A citizen of the Philippines;
- A registered voter in the municipality, city, or province where he seeks to be elected
- Able to read and write Filipino or any dialect
- At least 23 years old on election day
- Resident of the place where he intends to be elected for at least 1 year immediately preceding election day.
