Trainers’ Training at NCPAG Conference Room, University of the Philippines Diliman

Volunteers for voter education were recruited by officers of the UP League of College Councils (UP-LCC) headed by Mr. Christopher John P. Lao, Vice President of the UPD Student Council and CEO of the UP-LCC, and Mr. Youseff Khalil B. Velasco, College Representative of the UP National College for Public Administration and Governance (UP NCPAG). Some 45 students signed up to be part of the Voter Education Program.

The first day of training was on Feb 22, 2006 at UP NCPAG Conference Room with 17 attendees while the second day was on March 1, 2006 at Kalayaan Residence Multi-Purpose Hall with 14 participants. Resource speakers in the training comprised of Dr. Milagros I. Desamito, Maria Victoria S. Dulcero and Atty. Jocelyn Postrado. The training staff consisted of Marlene Rito, Manuel Tabug, Percival Ranay, all from the Education and Information department of the COMELEC. A total of ten (10) students completed the course and were given training certificates.
